ICD 10 - International Classification of Diseases of the 10th Revision

SYMPTOMS, SIGNS AND DEVIATIONS FROM NORM, DETECTED IN CLINICAL AND LABORATORY STUDIES, NOT CLASSIFIED IN ANOTHER RUBRICS (R00-R99)

This class includes symptoms, signs and abnormalities found in clinical or other studies, as well as inaccurately indicated conditions for which no diagnosis is identified, classified elsewhere.

The signs and symptoms on the basis of which it is possible to put a fairly definite diagnosis are classified in other classes. The headings of this class generally include less well-defined conditions and symptoms that can equally refer to two or more diseases or to two or more systems of the body, in the absence of the necessary study to establish the final diagnosis. Virtually all the states included in the headings of this class can be defined as "unspecified," "without other indications," "unknown etiology," or "transitory." In order to establish whether these or other symptoms and symptoms belong to a given class or to other sections of the classification, you should use the Alphabetical Index. The remaining subheadings with a .8 symbol are usually provided for for other reported symptoms that can not be attributed to other sections of the classification.

The conditions, symptoms and symptoms included in R00-R99 include: a) cases in which more accurate diagnosis was not possible even after examining all available evidence; b) the occurrence of transient symptoms or signs, the causes of which could not be established; c) cases of setting a preliminary diagnosis, which could not be confirmed due to non-attendance

patient for further examination or treatment; d) cases of sending a patient to another institution for examination or treatment before the final diagnosis is made; e) cases in which a more accurate diagnosis has not been established for any other reason; e) some symptoms, for which additional information is provided, which in itself is not of value for the provision of medical care.

Excludes: abnormalities detected in antenatal maternal examination ( O28.- ) individual conditions originating in the perinatal period ( P00-P96 )
